Is it too late to learn violin for me?

I'm in eighth grade, and actually I have learned

violin for two years before. However, now I forgot

how to read the notes and I'm not sure if I do have

talents in music. I don't know what I want to be

when I grow up, but I'm thinking of becoming a violinist

or an artist. But my mom told me that I should have

started violin when I was younger if I wanted to become

a violinist. She says it's too late... My mom wants me

to become a pharmacist or a nurse, but I don't want to.

I do get good grades like straight A's, but I don't really

like studying... And medical colleges require good grades

and high SAT scores, don't they? ;D

I really want to become a violinist.. Is it too late to start again?

Oh no its never too late! Get this! I played piano when i was 7 years old for only one year! I was young I liked it for a little while and then I thought I wanted to other things with my young life. Anyways I started up again, and I wonder how could I ever think of that! Now I love the piano and I wouldn't want to want to trade it for the world. Your are never to old to start something...personally I think when your older you start to understand the responsibilty and discipline of things more. I really encourage you that you play the violin, who knows the feelings that you feel about being a musician may change! I hope you continue to play the violin and just stick with it, if you love the violin and you want to try harder at it, keep up the good work! Have a great day!
