Today is CD 4 for me. I am in the middle of my 2nd cycle since my miscarriage in Dec. I want to start checking my basal body temp in the morning to check for ovulation. Is it to late? I know you are supposed to start on CD 1, but I didn't have a thermometer. Will I get alright results if I start temping in the morning??

It's fine, you can start today. I temp vaginally so I don't get to start until CD4-CD5 anyway. Good luck!

You should be okay try it anyways you will see a rise & drop later in the cycle not the beginning!! Good luck|||You can start today, just start your chart on day four, you will still be able to compare it to other months|||It is not too late. Just make sure on your chart to put your first temp on the right day (day 4 or whatever day it is in your cycle when you start and don't put it on day 1). My first cycle I started charting about day 8 or 9 and could still determine when I ovulated. You are still early in your cycle and some women don't temp while they are on their periods. I recommend temping everyday so you stay in the habit though. There is a website http://www.fertilityfriend.com that is very helpful to use while charting. You can enter in all your temps and symptoms and such and it will draw it all out for you. It puts in your ovulation date and your coverline. Then if you need to you can print the charts out. My RE was really impressed with mine. He could easily follow my chart he said instead of trying to look at a hand written one. It is free or you can order the VIP membership if you want.
