i've been playing violin in school from 5th to 8th grade, and after 8th grade was over. & i took private lessons from 7th to 8th grade. in orchestra, i was always 1st or 2nd chair.

so i havent TOUCHED my violin for almost a full year, and is it too late to pick it back up? i'm sure i would be playing horribly... should i get private lessons again? i might have a chance to join orchestra next year for sophomore year then... but i dont know if i should or not... please help!

nope,i have not touched my violin in more then 5 years, and i tried out for an orchestra club at my library and got first chair,so nope it is not,but practice and refresh your fingers on everything you learned.|||No, it's not too late to pick it up, at all. I'd do it; violin is SO much fun. You can get in groups and travel, and get orchestra scholarships to universities and study for free. Trust me on this one. go..for..it.....
