First of all, a $300 late fee? Something doesn't add up - usually it is like $25.

If you got the ticket 10 days ago, you're going to be fine. Most counties don't even have the tickets ENTERED into their system until many days after that. Most assess the late fee after 30 days of not attending to the ticket.

If you ask for defered adjudication you will have to pay court costs and administrative fees that are about equal to the cost of the ticket, but if you do not get anymore tickets in a set amount of time usually 90 days the ticket will not go on your record.
