Late Paychecks in Illinois?

I continually receive late paychecks from my job. Direct deposit is not offered and the checks are cut by hand. Pay day is supposed to be every 2 weeks on Saturday but we never get them before Tuesday. Is there something in the law against this? What can I do to fix this? Also many people are paid in cash. They gave me a W-4 to fill out after 4 weeks of working there but I was never given an I-9 is that required?

Yes, I-9's are a requirement! I suggest you contact the labor board and speak to them. As far as the W4 form, it should have been filled in along with the I-9 the day that you started, well before your first check was issued.
