Late Period on the Pill - Whats my risk of pregnancy?
My boyfriend and I have probably had sex less five times in the last month. We use a condom every time and I am on the pill and take it at nearly the exact same time every day and did not miss any pills this past month. I got some very light spotting yesterday that I thought would turn into my period, but today there's nothing. I read that light spotting on the pill may be counted as simply a very light period, and implantation bleeding does not happen on the pill. Is it possible that I'm pregnant, or that my period is only going to be that spotting, or its simply late?
Late Period on the Pill - Whats my risk of pregnancy?performing showsThe chances of you being pregnant, using the pill & condoms, is so close to zero I can't even give you a figure. A light, or even skipped, period on the pill is very normal. Plus, you can get your period anytime during your placebo week, so if you have days left your period could still show up. I wouldn't be concerned if I were you.

By using a condom and taking the pill your chances are almost zero that you are pregnant. Is this the right time for your period? It's probably just a light period, but wear something for the next few days just in case :)|||Of course I can't say for sure but I have experienced that before and I wasn't pregnant it was just a very light period. Though it made me worry it was nice to have a very light week. lol|||My Dr. 34 years ago told me he guessed the pill I was on wasn't stong enough. I know this isn't what you wanted to hear. why not run anEPT test to know for sure? Spotting could be your period . like i said run a test.|||There is a pill I took that gave me very very light periods at first and then none at all. I had to call my doctor because I totally freaked out, since I'd just had a baby. It was ortho-tri-cyclen Lo. So if you're taking that one, it's a nice side effect it would have been nice if someone had told you about. You're probably not pregnant using both pills and condoms, although I did get pregnant using the pill alone (my own fault, no fault of the pills although it can happen).|||You only have a 1% chance of being pregnant on the pill, but that said I got pregnant with my son on that 1% chance, so it's worth taking a test to ease your mind if nothing else! If you're using condoms, too, your chance is even lower. I'd never say never, though. the pill can just mess with your periods. But a test never hurt.
