Late getting plates on my car?

I have a 2006 Mustang GT and my temp. plates expired the 28th of August and I am just now getting around to getting them today. Will there be a penalty for being late getting them??? And how much is the tax, title and license on a new 30,000 car if anyone might know. P.S. I live in Denver, Colorado if that helps.

I went today...this is what I know.

The last time I tagged my 02 dodge truck was in 04...yeah I know!

I had to pay owners fees for those years but they were not that much. It seems to me you may pay about a $10 fee for being late.|||CO seems to hide their tax info pretty well. From what I've been able to find, the sales tax could range from 3% to as much as 7%. At 7%, that will set you back $2,100 just for the sales tax. I would imagine that the late fee would be a whole lot less than that!
