Late ovulation? Confused about cervical mucus.?

My period came 18 days ago (10th) so my ovulation should be round the corner but i keep getting mixed signals. On the 12th day, i got this long stretchy mucus (light yellowish) but it lasted for only a day. Since then, i am quite dry on some days and on some, i have watery discharge (almost like i peed)

So am i ovulating, going to ovulate or my inside has gone a little haywire?

Some background:

I stopped the pill in July and my period had been mostly regular save for Aug (10 days late) and Oct (14 days late). I visited an OB and he said everything is normal. He said my egg was released so the delay might be a late release of the egg.

I am a little worried it might be the side effects of The Pill (i took for 1.5yrs) and my hub and i are hoping for a little angel. I hope i'm just paranoid that i'm having problems ovulating.
