I have a 34 day cycle and was supposed to start on sat 8/4 but have no sign of my period coming. My breasts are sore to touch and were last time i was pregnant that was why i tested. I am 3 days late today and still getting a negative. I should have ovulated around the 21st. I dont know my luteal phase so i just used 14 days. How much longer should i wait to test? I have been pregnant 2 times same symptoms but got a pos.

Your HCG levels may be too low to detect. Some women never get a pos. result with HPTs. It is rare but it happens.

I too am late. Well 8 days late to be exact. My LMP was 7/01/07 but I had an IUD in place. I had it removed on 7/17/07 and had some spotting for a day after,which is typical after IUD removal but I never had a period. It could be just my cycle acting up since I no longer have the IUD but I've been having all the symptoms of PG since roughly 8dpo but every HPT comes out BFN!! I'm at my wits end but my body is telling me I'm pg. I guess we're both in the same boat. Please let me know what happens in your situation.

With irregular periods or long cycles like yours I would say you should contact the Dr and get a blood test to check for HCG. You may have ovulated later than you thought causing the negative test or your body could just be messing with you causing the late periods. If you don't want the blood test then wait 1 wk and retest if no period. If you still get a negative and no period then I would see your Dr because it sounds hormonal and there may be more too it. Good luck.|||I would give it a coupld more weeks. I had one blood test when I would have been about 4 weeks and it was negative. I went back a couple (maybe three) weeks later and it was positive.
