Late wedding present please help?

My husband and I were married in Feb. 2006. We had a registry at Macy's.com because our family and friend are scattered all over the world ad wanted us to make one. We asked for danations to our favorite charities instead of presents but some of our older relatives insisted on present. We had been living together for 3 years prior to getting married. Aren;t wedding present supposed to help set up a home? But anyway the question. becasue of the registery we were informed that someone had bought us a set of glasses and they were on back order. Well here it is 17 months later adn the glasses jsut arrived! talk abotu some back order sheesh. Well, we did send a thank you card to the people who purchased the gift along with an announcment a couple days before the wedding. We had a small wedding of abotu 12 guests. So should I again acknowledge the gift by sending another thank you card? I will call to let them know thatthey are here and absolutely beautiful. But what is status quo for this?
