My period is late by a week. I've had brown discharge thou. Could i be pregnant?

My period is late now by 7 days, after 5 days of being late i had very light brown discharge, and have done for 2 days now. I usually have very bad stomach cramps and a pain in my groin as i am due on and whilst i am due on...but i have had none of this. I want to be pregnant but i don't know what the brown discharge is...i do sometimes get it as i am due on, but like i said i have had no cramps / pains. I am very confused and don't know if it is to early to test. Plus i have had no "pregnancy signs" such as sore breasts / sickness etc. Any ideas?

And please...unless you are going to be helpful don't bother, it's bad enough being confused and worried let alone mean comments. :(

I would go ahead and take a pregnancy test. As long as your period is late, you can reliably test. Sometimes brown discharge occurs as the uterus is preparing for the baby to grow; it is implanting itself into the uterine wall. Some women even get a regular period throughout their pregnancy! You mentioned that you didn't have any symptoms of pregnancy, but all women are different, and you may not have any symptoms for some time. Still, a pregnancy test at this point should be quite reliable for you. Good luck and baby dust!!! : )
