My period is late. is there something wrong?

I am 25 years old and I never had my period this late or even missed a period. I am not sexually active. my period is 10 days late. Is that normal. I usually get it every 38-40 days. It is now days 51. Is there something wrong?

Probably not. Sounds like you have an irregular cycle anyway (over 35 days). Sometimes it's just stress, excersize or lack there of, change in diet, etc. Also every once in a while your period will just be late. I've actually talked to my doc in depth about this. There does not have to be any reason why, nearly every woman will have a few late periods or her cycle will change completely. I wouldn't worry about it. If it goes longer than 3 months, then you should see your doc. Just relax because the more you stress about it the longer it will take to come back.
