New York Public Library late fees!?
Okay so 2 years ago I borrowed some books and never returned them. I was given a final notice via email a few weeks after the due date to return them and just never did. I had since moved from NY and I just didn't take it seriously (I know, stupid on my part!). In the Final Notice email I was told that I would be billed to replace the materials if this was not immediately resolved. Never got the bill since I'd moved since. The replacement fee was like 40 bucks according to the email though. I've just been too scared to resolve this for fear of what may happen (again stupidity on my part!). Now i am headed back to NY for vacation in a week. I really want to resolve this. I am wondering if anyone has any insight into what will happen to me.
Will they charge me the late fees (which would be about $300 to 400 dollars ) PLUS replacement ($40)? Just the replacement (which is much less than late fees)? Will they even accept it now? Am I am in deep trouble? What should I expect!?
New York Public Library late fees!?met operawow 2 years.
anyway I had lost a few books and was given a final notice from my library...and I just replaced the books myself...they didn't charge me...they just took the books and gave me a receipt...but I was only a month or 2 late. call the library and ask them...
