Period is very late but not pregnant?

I'm 21 years old and i have regular periods that always come right on time. I have never been late before, i was supposed to get my period on the 6th and its been almost 3 weeks and i havent gotten it. I noticed around the week i was supposed to get it i had very light brown discharge for about a day or two but very little, it was spotting but very light not enough to call it a period. I took a urine and blood test to check for pregnancy and both came out negative. Could something be wrong with me? Has anyone ever had this before?

It could be that you are low on iron, you are underweight, or your diet is bad. Often your body will stop having periods if there is something wrong with you to prevent wasting vital blood. So check it out.

Did the doctors test your FSH and LH hormone levels? The reasons I ask is because you might be going through POF - Premature Ovarian Failure (running out of eggs). Have you had any hot flashes? I was 21 when I was diagnosed. Check out this site: http://pofsupport.org/information/factsh...
