My wife feels strongly that her calling is to be a stay-home-mom. I have to wake up before 6:00 every morning, make my breakfast, make my lunch, and go off to work. Meanwhile she's soundly asleep. Whenever I ask her what time she woke up, it's usually something like 9:30 or 10:00.

At night, I have to go to bed early, but she doesn't want to go to bed. She stays up late playing computer games. If I ever say anything about it, her response is always "so I don't ever get to have fun!?"

I still cook more meals than she does. She takes care of the baby more than I do (obviously she's at home with him all day). But I still take care of him quite a bit. Sometimes she'll get fed up with him in the evenings so she just ignores him until I put him to bed.

I actually spent more time with her when we were both working full time. At least then we would go to bed and wake up together.

She really seems to pamper herself.. Is this normal for a stay-home-mom?

You are right, stay home Moms should look after the husband cook clean take care of the baby. Stay home moms are called housewife's. Not a maid but a woman that make sure her family are looked after. Make time for you in the evenings watching a movie together and when it is time for bed she goes up with you as a family because once she did her daily chores she too will be ready to go to bed early. Your wife sounds to me that she is immature and sorry to say selfish too. I will put her down and have a straight talk with her, because sooner or later she is going to get bored and start looking for some fun somewhere else. Is there a way you can suggest that she should find work again ? don't be afraid that she will find someone else at work most women today are finding someone else from the computer. Have you thought of cut down on the bills and eliminate Internet and extras from home? I know it sound harsh but it sounds to me you don't use the computer much and it is just for her pleasure. I don't know your wife but I know a lot of women when they have a child and a good husband they use it as a tool to take advantage of the situation.
