Single guy in my late 20's & liking it. so what am i missing?

I probably know the answer to this but i'll ask anyways maybe you good ppl would have a different take on this.

Im a guy in my late 20's single have a great job and focused on my career i hav'nt been in a reationship for years,since i brokeup with my last girlfriend which was pritty messy iv had no desire to start a relationship and everytime a girl shows some interest in me i push them away coz i find them a distruction to the career im trying to build for myself so i move on very easily.

My friends think im weird and think im becoming very strainge. is there any way i can be single and normal or should i fit in with my buddies and get into a relationship that i know will end in a dsaster?
