my mother told me to ask this....she is 47 and she had her tubes tied{cut} over 6 years ago. she gets her period every 3 weeks and she is 2 weeks late.she has had unprotected sex and she is scared that she might be pregnant cause she has back problems and she thinks that being pregnant might affect her or the baby causing health problems. she also wants to know if its possible that her period is ending{menopause} she hasnt had any symptoms or signs of menopause

sound like your mum needs to go to the doctor for a check up as she is right there are two possibilities, one that she is pregnant, or more likely that she is starting to go through peri menopause but really to put her mind at rest she really needs to go to the doctor.

one lady at my church said she had hers tied (after 12, YES 12 kids) well she is pregnent AGAIN!!!|||she could be. tying tubes dosen't always work. my mom got her tubes tied after she had the older of my two younger brothers, and she got pregnant with the youngest two months later. If she's pregnant at 47, that's not good, for her or the baby, and she should see a doctor.
