normally, puppy's get up in the middle of the night anyway, so having a bedtime for them isn't really helpful. does your dog sleep in the bed with you two? if so, you could just get her used to going to bed with you - if she gets tired before then, she'll most likely lay down and take a nap.|||Schedules are great, but animals tend to have their own schedule when it comes to sleep. They don't lay down and sleep at night for 8 hours like we do. Because your puppy is so young, she will naturally sleep more than a full grown dog. As long as she doesn't have a full day planned away from home, it shouldn't matter when you put her to sleep, she'll sleep when she is tired.|||I know you love your puppy kike a baby, but he or she is not a baby. You need to think in puppy terms. You pup will poop out when he's ready to depending on how much exercise it gets each day and how old he is.
When he gets older, he will retire to his bed when ever the need to sleep or bordom strikes him to.
The advantage is that you should take your pup out to relieve himself right before YOU go to bed, and if that's your bed time too, chances are he will make it through the nite until you wake in the AM and are ready to take him back out.
