Why do women have late abortions--what do the women say are the reasons?

A recent study in England asked women why they had waited until the second trimester (13 to 24 weeks into the pregnancy) to have an abortion. Do you think US women have the same issue:

-US women are having late abortions because they are unaware they are pregnant? It's primarily an educational issue here as well?

-Or is it more complicated in the US: Are there less doctors and health clinics available to women if they need an abortion?

Personally, I dislike second trimester abortions, but if it's occurring because of lack of education about women's fertility, it's appalling. So much for American education, if that's the case.

I would like to point out that lack of education isn't the only reason why women don't realize they are pregnant until the second trimester(or later, or until they are actually in labor). Some women still have "periods" when they are pregnant and don't have any of what is considered pregnancy symptoms(morning sickness, develop the belly, increase in breast size/tenderness of breasts, or gain weight), or they are going through a stressful time(or increased the amount of exercise they are doing) that could cause the loss of their period so they wouldn't suspect pregnancy right away, or being overweight can mask a pregnancy.
