28 weeks pregnant with twins, bad swelling wtih headache?

I am 28 weeks pregnant with twin boys. I have placenta preevia, but I don't know if that would have any effect. I have an appt. next week....Since last night I have had a really bad headache and my hands are swelled really bad, to the point where my ring that was too big will not move at all. Also, my feet are swelled, my legs are too (up to my knees, right one is worse than than left one). I have only been getting up to use the bathroom, keep my legs elevated, laying on my left side, and watching my sodium intake, but nothing seems to help, does anyone have any suggestions?

This is a sign of preeclampsia a very dangerous complication of pregnancy. I'd be going to the Dr today.

Call the Dr...don't wait for your apt....if your blood pressure gets too high, you could have a siezure....Better to be safe than sorry...|||headaches are a common side effect of pregnancy, the swelling sounds like a serious problem there!GOOD LUCK=D|||just to be safe i would call the doc or l&d. your hands shouldn't swell that bad. tell them all your symptoms. and they will be able to tell if its normal or not. or they will tell you other things to try. hope i could help.|||I would go to the er. It sounds like preeclamsia....have twins is a huge risk factor for it.|||get checked out, could be a warning sign of preeclampsia|||Headaches are very normal in any pregnancy. I got it very bad for the rest of my pregnancy after i was 3 months. There not really any pain medication you can take but Tylenol Sometimes what would help me was if i rub Vicks over my head. Sometimes it would take the head ace away completely if i used the Vicks and Tylenol. For the added swelling it does sound like preeclampsia. Never hesitate to call the Dr.|||u should call your doctor.. it sounds like pre eclamsia.. you have twins so its worse..

it never hurts to take a trip down to the marernity ward|||Sounds like preeclampsia. You need to be seen by a DR ASAP esp since you are having headaches. This can be life threatening to you and your babies.
