Anyone have a great way to at least tame a headache?
I have really bad headaches and I'm not sure if they're migraines (I know, I need to go to a doctor) but with my schedule I really can't get there. Plus, medicine is expensive. Does anyone know any quick, easy and cheap ways to cure headaches. What about great ways to get rid of stress?

Then take a cool (not cold) shower and go to bed. Do not sleep with a light on! Try to reduce your stress level.
Exercise is great for stress. just 10 or 15 minutes two or three days a week can make a real difference. Open a window. Fresh air is the best. helps the blood circulate and if it is migraines that's the best thing. Also, try not to get over heated or too cold.

I have migraines....an ice pack works wonders on the back of my neck. But I have to lay quietly, in a dark / quiet room for several hours usually. I know that ice packs don't work for everyone, but they sure do for me! Don't take "too" much medicine (Tylenol, etc)...migraines can actually become worse with too much medicine! Also caffeine can help (weird, huh) and try to drink a lot of water when having a migraine. Good Luck....as a migraine sufferer I empathize with you....they are horrible and so interrupting.|||This never works for me, but I've heard that you should squeeze one of your pressure points (like the one between your thumb and index finger) to cause a sharp, but harmless and temporary pain. Supposedly the theory is that the pain from a headache, is (haha) just in your head, so if you cause actual pain to another part of your body, it will distract your brain from your headache, focus on the pain in your pressure point and then your headache will be gone. But, like I said, it never worked for me.|||Can't help you with stress, but many headaches are caused by being dehydrated. Try to drink more water, but if you want a quick fix, try Gatorade. Drink the whole bottle.
