Could I have ovulated late?

I have never had a late period before in all of my amost 10 years of having a cycle. It comes on like clockwork on the same date of each month. I have not had a period in 47 days. I am now 16 days late. I took a pregnancy test when I was 5 days late and it was negative. I went to to the doctor to get another when I was 11 days late and it said no also. She didn't want to do a blood test becuase she said at 11 days late, if it hadn't showed up on the urine test, the final answer is more than likely no.This week around Wednesday (period was 13 days late then), I had egg-white mucus when I wiped (at first I thought it was a yeast infection because I have never seen any before...sorry if Too much info there). My question is could I have just ovulated this week even if my period is so late like this? Thanks to all for answers. I am not stressed any more stressed now than I have been since I began trying so I know it is not stress. ..What else could it be?

It's possible you are just ovulating and had a weird cycle. These things happen. Even if you don't think you are stressed, stress can affect everyone differently so even the tiniest bit can throw your body off.

If you've traveled, moved or had a death in the family recently then those are cause for having your cycles get wacky.

Also, an HPT is not always accurate and you can get ewcm during any time in your cycle. It is not solely for ovulation. So that's my 2 cents.

An occassional off cycle is normal. It may also have been an annovulatory cycle.|||It it certainly possible. Stress can do that to you. Also, if you have a cyst on your ovary, this can happen. The best thing is to call your doctor and ask. Or, you can wait two weeks and see if you get your period, but late ovulation is pretty common.
