I have a short attention span, and need some help getting it under control.?





I've been procrastinating my homework because I have too short of an attention span to work on it. Instead, I get on the computer or goof off. Then, I wind up doing it late at night, perhaps at midnight. I'm sleeping later and later every night.

I've tried to make a schedule, but when I missed something, I would say "Oh, I didn't get it perfect. I'll start for real tomorrow."

And then I goof off again, only to work on homework late at night.

Right now, I'm procrastinating something I has three weeks to do. It's due tomorrow and it's 9:00. It'll probably take me an hour or so to do it.

I can't help it. I know I should be working on it, but it's much too tedious.

I need help getting my problem under control and learning to follow my schedule. Do you have any tips?

Break it down to flash cards. Use index cards to put main ideas on. Make it a puzzle instead of continued work. Do parts at different times. Then you can put it all together, and make it challenging for you and keep you from being bored.
