Is it too late for me to get stitches 24 hrs later..?

I cut my thumb open (slammed it in truck door) last night around 5:00-ish. My dad said it was fine (even though I was bleeding profusely and going into shock) and he put superglue on it to seal it. Well the super glue came off about 2 hours ago. I am at work, I get off at 4:00, I was wondering if it will be too late to get stitches a day later than when the would occurred?

What will they do? Is it going to be a waste of money to go? Should I just buy some liquid bandaid and keep it bandaged to keep it cheap? I do have insurance, but not a very good one.

wow super glue works my dad is a doctor and uses it all the time!!! no it is not to late i split my toe open and my parents said that it would be fine but it ended up getting infected and i had to go to the doctor and get 5 shots in my toe and they had to cut it open. i would suggest going now!!! :)

no, you can still get stitches. My bf cut his upper lip really badly and was too stubborn to go but I made him go the next day and they put stitches in no problem.|||It's not too late to get it stitched.

Never mind the money, how much would you pay for a new thumb, if you DON'T get it treated, and it gets gangrenous and falls off?!|||You're a fibber; super glue would have burned like h(e)ll and poisoned you.
