Late payment on perkin loan?

i realized that my perkin loan payment was due on 12/01/07 but i found out on the 5th and paid for it.... Now i know that i made a late payment for the first time in my life. I've been paying bills since i was 20 and now im 25. I Fully paid car loan, working on 2nd car loan, ultility bills etc, so does this 1st time late payment affect my credit history badly? it's 4 days late, is it possible to ask the the loan person to void the late payment or do anything so that i wont get the bad credit?

You may be in a "grace period" with the payment, which means that the creditor gives you 5-10 days past the due date to receive your on-time payment. This is due to mail irregularities, etc. Call them right away and ask.
