How to run coaxial cable around a room?
I have a home theater (hdtv+surround sound+xbox 360)set up in my game room - the trouble is that I can't get cable. This is because the nearest cable outlet is about 40 feet away, all the way on the other side of the game room. Moving the home theater to the other side is out of the question. Any suggestions on how to run a coaxial cable from tv to cable outlet without looking too messy?
How to run coaxial cable around a room?performing shows...running it through the wall would be the best way, but not any easy task for someone who doesn't do it on a regular basis!!
They make special molding, it looks just the same as any other molding but has a "hole" cut on the inside of it. You could remove your old molding and run this in place of it with your cable running through it and it's very easy to do! Just make sure you don't shoot a nail through the cable ;)
...Yes an HD Cable Box, programming, and HDMI/DVI/Comp cables would look better - but any decent HDTV will have a good upconverting chip and won't look bad at all! I have a cable box, but we're very limited to HD programming so 99% of the time I'm watching standard programming and it looks great! Yea, I can tell a difference in HD but it isn't necessary if they don't want to spend the money.
