I wuz just wondering about movies..where do movie theaters get them?

Okay ... so everyone goes to the movies to watch a movie but what if i have a home theater and have the money to get a projector and want to see those movies that are coming out in theaters ... how can i get those movies or where do i download them from or what do movie theaters do it??? i have alwayz wondered that...

The theaters actually rent the film from the studios or distrubutors for a junk-load of money. When they say they do not make money on ticket sales it is the truth, it all goes to pay for the film rent. So unless you have more money than brains it is not really an option. Some production studios and theaters are looking into going digital, in which case the movie could be stored on a hard disk drive or downloaded by the theater via a secure connection and distributed that way, definitely a savings in the shipping department, but still very expensive.

Movie houses (or theatres) as thery are called have a licencing agreement with the production companies that own the film. For example, 20th Century FOX, Universal...etc...
