Need help getting surround sound with PS3?

I have a sony TV with 3 hdmi inputs. One input goes to the direct tv HD receiver and the other goes to the hdmi output of the dvd home theater system (Sony DAV - HDX265). The third one goes from the ps3 to the TV. I need to know what cables to get to go from the ps3 to the home theater system to get surround sound. thank you.

With a PS3, I believe you only have two choices for audio output, through the HDMI cable or digital optical output.

Does your home theater system have pass-through HDMI connections, allowing the video to go through and capture the audio to play through the speakers?

There is no digital input on your Sony all-in-one surround unit. The best you can do is utilize the receiver's analog input and listen to your PS3 in analog surround sound (pro logic). So all you would need is a standard 2-channel RCA male-male cable of the appropriate length.
