VGA or DVI? Is there that much of a difference at 1280x720?
I picked up a 16:9 720p/1080i front end home theater dlp projector. I am hooking it up to a nintendo Wii (RGB component 480p), an upscaling dvd player and a home theater PC.
The projector has a composite, s-video, RGB component video, vga and hdmi input. With only one input for hdmi I need to choose whether to use that for the dvd player or the home theater PC.
VGA allows twice the bandwidth of component but is still analog. If I hook up the dvd player to the hdmi and keet the htpc, will I see that much of loss on the PC? I need to pick a hdmi to dvi converter to hook up the PC. Hate to waste the money for one if I won't notice any real distance

Use the HDMI for your DVD player.
HDMI is convenient, but its quality over analog is overated.
