Will the industry be reduced to "IMAX" style super theaters as more and more people invest in home theaters and downloadable digital content, or will people continue to pay $8+ to sit in unclean theaters where rude behavior is the norm?

I live in constant fear that that movie theaters will go out of business during my lifetime due to the increasing quality of home theaters. But I don't think it will happen. The movie theater tradition is too well ingrained in our culture.|||I pay $11.00 dollars for unclean theatres where rude behavior is the norm!|||I don't think it will go away completely. It may be a case though of only special effects movies or action movies really getting a run in theaters. I, and many of my friends, only pay to see something like that. Unless you're a millionaire even the best home system doesn't compare to the big screen, in my opinion. Comedies and such with no real need for the visuals aren't worth the money.|||There's two new movie complexes near me and they're clean and I've never had a problem with people maybe it's just a good neighborhood or something I have been in older theatres that had gum on the seat and teens smoking pot during the movie and stuff like that but that was in the older part of town I count myself lucky to be able to avoid those theatres and go to the new stadium ones where the people are a lot more respectful.
