Do I have to go to court if it's for my daughter being late to school?
My 7 year old's school is very strict. They have outside morning announcements every morning but if the child is not in line when the bell rings it counts as a tardy. I have had her barely getting to school when the bell rings many times but did not think it was a big deal since she was there on time and wasn't late to class. Due to this they sent someone to my home several times to verify my address and I never answered. They wanted to throw her out of school unless I could prove my address so I gave them recent copies of my utility bills and driver's license. She was allowed to stay in school but they told me they already set a court date for me. This is crazy cause it's not like she's getting to class late, just not in her line on time. Is there any way I can get out of this besides a lawyer? All they are going to do in court is make me sign something saying she can't be late again.
Do I have to go to court if it's for my daughter being late to school?musicalssounds goofy. what is the actual time thay say school starts? if they are in line outside at that time then it would be considered tardy. if not, then they can't do anything as she would not be late for school. you said "they" set a court date. who did? the courts or the school? only the courts can do that and it should have been sent to you in the mail.
