OK i grew up in the suburbs i am black,20 years old my mom and dad want me to go out with a black girl they don't like me dating my white girlfriend, but my girlfriend fit my personality, i listen to classic rock country music and opera, and i am a Buddhist and meditate weekly, and i also work out , that is a little bit about my personality and my lifestyle my girlfriend lives almost the same life style we enjoy the same music and we get along great, i have tried to look for girls of my own race but havent found one that matches with my personality,how do i tell my parents to but out of my life and leve my girlfriend and i in peace and harmony

Love is love, and love is color blind. Im into stuff that people call "not black" and they say I talk like a "white girl". To which I think is ignorant. To me there is no such thing as acting white or black, it acting ghetto or proper. Anyways, the way to do it is to let them know your free to love who you want to love or like. You interests, and personality connect with her. An to you its not black and white, is her traits that you like, and who she is as a person. If they dont like it, dont look and dont judge. Your a grown man, you date who you like. No color lines. Good luck.
