I am interested in the name of the song/composer of the music they are using in the background. It is from a mandarin soap opera but has also been used in many U.S. tv shows and movies. We would like to use it for our wedding, so many thanks to anyone who can help.

This music is possibly composed for that show. It is a guitar concerto, so you may want to post your question to some classical guitar players. The Guitar Foundation of America is the biggest classical guitar org. I'm not sure if they have a discussion list, but if they do, they would know this song right away if it's indeed something not specific to this tv show.

You may want to go to amazon.com and listen to the 30-second clips of guitar concertos. There are a lot of REALLY good ones out there. Concertos by Vivaldi, Guiliani, Villa-Lobos, Ponce, Albeniz all come to mind.

Also... don't be confused when you see the name John Williams all over when looking at classical guitar... there's two of them, the guitarist and the movie music composer.

It's not guitar music... but I always thought it would neato if the bridle procession was really drawn out and to the music of Elgar's "Nimrod" from his Enigma Variations. There's a build in the first minute for the flower girl. Then there's a long slow huge build at about a couple minutes in for her to show up and slowly walk down the isle. Don't let the name Nimrod fool you, it's an awsome mvt!

BTW, I used the prelude to Handel's Firework's played by a brass quintet and organ for my wedding. Good stuff!
