Operatic duet for a tenor and soprano?
My friend and I were asked to sing at a showcase. We were hoping to sing a duet from an opera. We are fans of Mozart especially, but we would really like something comedic and light, that still shows off our voices, which are very operatic.
He is a lyric tenor, I believe he is most comfortable below and A or so. I am a light lyric coloratura, and I feel most comfortable above an A. (haha, a bit of fach humor there.)
Any suggestions would be appreciated. We're really open to anything and we're hoping to have a great time singing together to find something.

Or "Tornmai a dir che m'mami" from Don Pasquale (by Ruffini) (it's short, though).
"Libiamo ne' lieti calci" from La traviata by Verdi (though I think it calls for a chorus)

You could try the tenor and soprano duet from the Bach Mass in B Minor - yes, I know it's not opera but it's a nice piece.|||The duet 'Bei Mannern' from Mozart's Magic Flute. Quite light, not comedic I'm sorry, but otherwise might be just what you are looking for.|||What about the Don Jose/ Micaela duet from Act III of Carmen? It's not comedic, but probably light enough to suit both voices.
