Sad indeed. How to face it? We grieve the loss, we feel the pain, we allow ourselves tears. And then we come together, we listen to one another's stories, and we remember. What a marvelous attribute, to be able to remember. Even more, we offer comfort to one another. Mind you the world is filled with brutes who fail miserably at this, but then there are those who will have the gift--to be able to sit with us in silence and just be. No need to fill the silence with words that do not comfort. The presence of another in the time of grief is healing, comforting and gives us time to find our own voice and express the pain. A true friend will listen and not try to fix it. In this we find community, and we grow. It's part of being human and those who do it well develop into some of the most compassionate humans.

they will live on in our hearts..|||You know...its sad, i know...but it happens and it will again. one has to face it, its never cool, but think of it as if whoever died will go to a beter place.|||Think of it this way... he went to meet the people he loved who have been dead for decades (like his mother, or grandparents). We love people who die and will miss them too, but we should feel happy for them that they are able to see people again that they loved when they were children, people who helped shape them and took care of them and watched them grow up.|||When anyone I have admired has died I reflect on what this person meant to me. I attempt to discern how this person impacted my life and try to come away with a positive outlook on life.|||He will most certainly be missed. i know I will miss him. But his voice still remains with us.

For me, what is so ironic is that just the night before our neighbor was telling me about how sick Pavarotti was. I was unaware of it and was shocked and felt his time was most certainly limited. Then the next day his physical being was gone. Thank heavens we have all those recordings. What an addition he'll make to the celestrial choir.

Thank you Mr. Pavarotti for many hours of pleasure in an era when music sucks.|||How we face it depends on the individual but the fact remains, it must be faced.
