Questions about the Nazis in WWII, please? It is a lovely afternoon where I am, but I am curious...?
Hi ~
I will just ask and get it over with!!
1 were the Nazis military personnel?
2 who else was considered a Nazi?
3 in old movies one sees on the stand in court, women who were Nazis. Were they in the military, or just hired secretaries or who?
4 which people were considered 'Nazi Sympathizers'?
5 after the war was over, what happened to people who signed up to be a part of the Nazi Party, like Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, the opera singer, or Richard Wagner, the opera composer? it seems they met with no punishment; it was because they really were guilty of nothing but giving into pressure to avoid threat of not working in their profession?
I hope to achieve some sort of balanced view point on all this ... it usually frightens me just to think of it all.
Thank you in advance

Questions about the Nazis in WWII, please? It is a lovely afternoon where I am, but I am curious...?opera.comWell, let me just clear up the question of why Richard Wagner was not punished after World War II. HE DIED IN 1883. THE NUREMBERG TRIALS DID NOT BEGIN UNTIL 1945. You're welcome.
Questions about the Nazis in WWII, please? It is a lovely afternoon where I am, but I am curious...?amc theatre opera theaterNazis were members of the National Socialist Workers Party, generally very high ranking military officials, and/or the very rich and powerful. The average German soldier, sailor, pilot etc. was not a "Nazi". That's like saying everyone was a Democrat when Clinton was in office. Report It
