but my parents say they wont let me probably because they scared of us being alone in a movie theater...would you let your child do what i wanna do

Yes I would. I started going to the movies by myself around your age. If you act like a responsible young adult, your parents will treat you like one. (Not saying thats ur immature)|||im sorry but no because im in 8th grade and i go to the movies with my friends and i see what they do....so i know when i get older im not letting my kids go alone till there at least 15|||My parents won't let me do that to unless they come along!|||Really? that sucks! ive been aloud to go alone with friends since 6th-7th grade i think (im in 9th now)|||**** yea|||Dude, I am 14 and I started going out alone with friends when I was 13...... What you should do is tell your parents that you are growing up and that your bonding with friends are a part of you turning into an adult(worked with mine AND it really is true)......... plus say that you are responsible enough, "don't you guys trust me?" or something along those lines, or bargain that you will go home at a set time...... just make sure you live up to your bargain so next time they will trust you to go out......

P.S. If all else fails, how about asking your dad when your mom is not around stating the above reasons,,, fathers usually understand these things
