Is nose bleed due to depression or stress?





I'm 15 and depressed and always so stressed! i'm going to a mental health place soon and school work makes everything twice as bad, last night i cried to my mum for an hour or so for ages, and just felt so angry and actually felt like dying cos I need to escape so badly,, today I had a nose bleed out of nowhere.. could this mean anything?

I am sorry you are having such a hard time right now. But in the end things do get better (I know hard to believe plus everyone says it, but it's true) and I know they will at some point.

As for your nosebleed, no it is not caused by depression. more likely it was caused by a few different reasons...

crying so hard and for so long will cause swelling of your nasal passages and when they are swollen they are easier ti crack and bleed. The change of seasons or dry weather is also a factor as mentioned in an answer above but since the nosebleed came after a long bout of crying, then I would attribute it to that. No need to worry about it. But if it continues tell mom as you may need to go to the doc's just for a quick nose check up but not likely from what you have shared.
