Spotting, IUD, stressed!!!?

OK, Ive had the IUD for about a year. With some spotting sometimes, usally when I'm stressed. I am getting married in a few weeks and for the last 12 days I have been spotting with only 1-2 days in there with no bleeding at all. I've been to the doctor for all the tests including pregnancy and they are negative. It hurts when I have sex also in the middle of my lower abdomn. I sometimes get a pain in my lower left side feels like the ovaries. Is this normal? Has anyone experienced this before or even have an ideas as to what it may be? Please help! Any response will be helpful. Thanks!!

I had an IUD for about 6 years, and I had similar problems which baffled my doctors. Eventually, I found an Ob/GYN who decided to do an ultrasound on me to see if anything abnormal was going on, and she found a rather large cyst on my ovary, which presumably was causing the pain and spotting. Her solution was to remove the IUD (does not hurt at all, compared with the torture it was to get it inserted). She put me on birth control pills and things have gotten much better for me since.

if you had the IUD for a year now and had not experienced any disconfort untill now, i don't think its normal. i would suggest that you take it out and try other non painfull birthcontrol methods. i've seen cases when the person bleeds exesively and/ or does not bleed at all. i've also seen cases when a baby is born with the IUD either on his or her head, cheek and gluteous. i would not recommend this method to anyone because it is not reliable.
