Why am I late?

I am approximately 8 days late for my period. I have taken two HPT's and they both came up negative. What else could cause me to be late except for stress, because I'm stressed all the time, and my period is always on time.

What type of test are you using? Try using a test that has a very low sensitivity, like First Response. Also your urine could be diluted if you drink alot of water. Try not to drink anything after 7:00 pm, until after you have taken the test. Also make sure you take the test with first morning urine (I am sure you already knew that though). If you are doing all these things and it is still negative there is a chance that you could be pregnant and you just aren't reacting to the HPT, which some women don't. With some women the only way to confirm pregnancy is with a blood test. If you are pregnant the hCG levels in your system will double almost daily so try the test again tomorrow and the next day...

lots of things........... go see your doctor. really, go to the doctor.|||There's stress (not uncommon during a holiday disruption in routine) and there's impending motherhood (not uncommon after getting one's freak on).|||Change in common things can set it off (Holidays...maybe lots of travelling???) Also if you moved to a new home or apartment, this is enough of a change also. And one thing that some people are not aware of (mostly men)...women will cycle together if we spend enough time together. Did you recently get a new room mate or a job with lots of other women that you are around all the time? Remember we are a part of the "animal kingdom" just as much as the creatures around us and our cycle will change according to other women around us to keep the group cycling together...ask any female frat house..."Do you all cycle together at *around* the same time?" So if you started hanging out with a new girlfriend ALOT within the past month, you might be changing to her cycle time. Oh and it's the one that has the stronger menstrual cycle that dominates the cycle time.

So guys...be nice to that group of girls! One PMS-ing chic is bad enough, don't piss us ALL off!!!
