People say that High School Musical is the new Grease, so which do you think had a bigger impact? I mean, you cant go on Yahoo Answers without reading someone's opionon about the actors in the movie....

only time will tell,,, grease is still highly regarded as one of the best musicals ever put to film but i doubt HSM will enjoy the same in 25 years

Grease is just so much better.|||i love grease high school mucical doesn't even compare|||The original Grease movie started it all and it has never left.|||grease grease grease grease ! ! ! ! its a classic while high school musical is just another Disney nock off|||grease...it has with stood the test of time|||grease is better|||Grease without a shadow of a doubt.|||Grease because it came first and it's a classic!!|||I don't think High School Musical was all that great even though my friends do. Grease was def. better. All they tried to do was take Grease and make it modern and it stinks. Grease was about image and love which one, and High School Musical makes a mockery of it! More people know about High School Musical beacause they have 2 movies, and more kids watch TV now than ever.|||I am a child of the 70's (second grade when Grease came out)...the songs are awesome and add in the durability of it...IT HAS TO BE GREASE!!!|||Never heard of Grease but did do a school play on it unfortunately ~.~ I personally don't like HS2 or any HS.
