Musical Tattoos?

Would you ever get a tattoo of your favourite band (cd pic designs / lyrics / title of band)? I'm thinking of finding lyrics (like one verse or line of a song) in a band that I love and making it a tattoo. Do you think that a tattoo of your favourite band is a good idea as a reminder to a certain time in your life? Or do you think that it is a rash decision that will only lead to regret in the future?

Choose:

a) Absolutely. Shows loyalty to my favourite artist.

b) Maybe. It would have to be significant like a lyric that meant something or a striking piece of cover art.

c) Never. How lame is that? It's a bands lyrics, I'd rather come up with something on my own.

That's actually a good idea for a tattoo if the lyric is poetic I've been thinking of a good tattoo to get for a while but no design really stood out this is a good avenue to go down thanks

Make sure you know what you defiantly want. I had a friend who got a band logo tattooed on his forearm and regrets it to this day|||C. I'd never get a tattoo at all. I make me who I am, not someone else's words or some symbol carved and dyed into my skin.|||Most likely (b) for me. It would have to have a great meaning to me and be able to associate it with my life. My sister wants a symbol of some band she likes but I think it's a bad idea. Your interests change in life and I wouldn't want to be stuck with some bands symbol on me. Plus I see that as a form of free advertising for the band and as an accountant I don't believe in free advertising (unless the band paid me a HUGE stipend for using my body as a billboard but we are talking in the millions.) Makes me wonder if anybody has a New Kids on the Block tattoo or even one as bad as Manfred Mann's Earth Band.
