Possible topic for a one-man musical?

Imagine you were going to write a musical where only one man (not a woman) was singing all the way through. What could this musical interestingly be about, taking this rather unique approach to the genre.

The idea needs to be strong and nuanced enough to sustain about 45 minutes of music, but to be performed by one man. Any ideas?

How about passion? Or you can have a dialogue between two persons and you alternately play/sing the person speaking. That would be more interesting to watch than just one person.
