Trying out for musical theater...NEED A SONG!?
I'm trying out for musical theater at my school and i have to sing two songs. I was given "can't help lovin dat man" from showboat as a required song, and i have to pick a song of my choice, but it has to be a song that has been in a broadway show. I'm an alto, so i dont really want anything too too high, and preferably something upbeat...but im up for anything!!! any ideas?

"I'm gonna wash that man right out of my hair" South Pacific
"I Enjoy Being a Girl" Flower Drum Song
"Honey Bun" South Pacific
"In My Own Little Corner" Cinderella
These are all good songs for altos, they are upbeat and appropriate for a school audition.

you'll have fun singing it (: but i'm not sure if that's low enough..?|||Look at "Oklahoma" for both the songs of the female lead and the comic female ("I'm just a Girl who can't say 'no'" which might be a comic alternative to the required song.)
