What is a good topic for a musical or how can i figure one out?

i am trying to write a musical this summer and i cant seem to come up with a topic. i need all the suggestions i can get. thanks a bunch! :)

Generally speaking, plays and musicals pick a topic associated with modern society and comment on it. In May, I saw an original production that was created in less than 4 months that was a commentary on reality TV shows and how people would do anything for 15 minutes of fame. Pick a topic in modern society that interests you like violence in video games/TV, pro/con for the conflict in Iraq, social commentary on congress, response to recent events, etc. How about watching C-SPAN for a few hours? Usually congress members go through quite a bit of topics, and you could take one of their discussions and write something that would display the effects if a law were to be passed.
