New Straits Times, May 9,2007, Page 16 - Skimpy costumes and sexy gyrations from the biggest stars down to the smallest of unknowns will no longer be accepted. And foreign artistes who perform without the proper permits can look forward to arrest and blacklisting along with their managers.
Immigration Department, Culture, Arts & Heritage Ministry will work in a team. " The officers will monitor the artistes' performance, their clothing as well as their behaviour. If they wear eye-popping outfits, and if they behave improperly or indecently, or say things that touch on religious, social and cultural sensitivities, the officers have the right to stop the show."- Immigration Dep. Dir, Mohd Ramlan.
A top female star from Indonesia was advised not to gyrate (shake her hips) sexily because they have received complaints that her sexy antics were bad for our youth.
Recently, an Indonesian rock group was asked to button up their shirts, or else Ramlan would stop them from performing.

Our religious dept is superb at identifying skimpily dressed entertainers, or lovers holding hands in the park but have failed miserably in identifying even one person involved in corruption.
