Urgent help needed ASAP!!!!!?





hey guys,

Im performing a synthesis experiment as part of my 4th year project and i need help. I tried to figure out the reaction mechanism but i still havnt figured it out. Can someone plz plz HELP ME????

the reaction is as follows:

1-chloro naphthalene + cyclo hexane carboxylic acid + silver nitrate + Ammonium persulphate (oxidising agent).

The product im expecting is 1-chloro 4-cyclohexyl- carboxylic acid but my NMR results show that i didnt get the desired product.

PLZ HELP ME DO THE MECHANISM!!!

Try adding a mineral such as graphite,amethyst,diamond, or something less expensive!
