u no, at weddings, bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs, theres always a band or dj or singer there performing. how much do they make per one show or gig they perform?

please dont say it all depends on the band because they are all relatively the same. if the band was amazing, they wouldnt be performing at weddings! so about how much do they make?

well sorry but they actually do rely on the band and how much THEY cost. they decide on the price. also it depends how long theyre playing|||Well it does depend on the number of musicians performing, as well as the experience/ performance capabilities of each group.

My husband plays weddings and gets nothing less than $150 for just the ceremony. (one rehearsal, one ceremony) Many times depending on the amount of music played, and requested music's difficulty etc he may ask $200, or more. He also has a degree in piano performance, and has been doing this as an established side business for over 15 years.

A good place to check into local going rates would be to contact your local musicians guild (union). Look it up in the phone book. Find out what the going rates are. We happen to live in a rural area and our union rates are far less than the unions in Pittsburgh or Cleveland nearby.

If unsure, and someone has asked you for a gig, give them a number you would do it for, and then deal with them.. Sometimes you will be surprised when they come back with, "Oh that's a great deal!"
