Alot of religions teach that you must show your love for god by going to confession, or praying, or other rituals. If god loves us that much why do you think he needs us to prove ourselves by performing all these rituals? Also, do you think it's true that if you don't have a religion, because maybe you just choose not to, tat you will go to hell or purgatory?
What do you think??lyric operaI think, personally, there are no gods etc. I think people have a need to talk through bad things they have done, which is why people like psychiatrists and counselors. I think the con artists who came up with religions cashed in on a vulnerability most people have, and use it as a tool to ensure obedience.

Purgatory doesn't sound so bad, especially if it has a lending library.|||It seems that religion has been done a certain way for so long that people are just used to and do not wish to change. I know some denominations have abandoned some unfair practices but it just looks as though it is impossible to abandon everything and just live on faith....|||I dont look at it that way. Look at it this way:
Wanna go out tonight? You gotta take a shower, shave, do your makeup, do your hair, do your nails and so on. its all prep work.|||Don't know what religions do that but I think that one way you show your love for God is by doing service. Jesus tells us that then we do service to others, it is like we are doing for Him.
Rituals are nothing, in my opinion. Of course my Church doesn't have rituals like you mention. You don't go to hell or purgatory for not doing the rituals.|||only God decides who burns and who doesn't, luv...
...rituals can prove nothing to God that He does not already know. What is felt inside is what matters...
