Need Help With Bedroom Redecorating!!!?
Thrift stores are a good place to start. Sometimes you will even be able to find scrap material to use to make or cover pillows. Another great store to find bolts of material is Old Tyme Pottery. Or you could hit fabric stores and ask to see their discontinuted material. Of course fabric stores are more expensive....Walmart usually has material fairly priced. You could even by some cheap muslin...dye it or even stretch it and paint it. If you choose to paint it you will have to treat the muslin first....using a corn startch and water mix in a spray bottle. Tack the canvas down and stretch it out. Spray the mix and then you can use acrylic or latex paint...water it down don't just slap it on there. (If you do then the paint will be too heavy and it will eventually crack or the material will get to stiff and cause heavy creases that you won't be able to smooth out. Another great way to add a splash of color is by painting contact paper. Buy plain white...paint it any color you want...you could do shapes or even a border to go around your room. Test an area on the wall...somewhere out of site to make sure it doesn't pull off the existing paint. Depending on what type of paint is already on the wall might knock that option out. If it is just flat latex I wouldn't recommend using contact paper.
So ultimately hit the thrift stores, goodwill, yard sales and dollar stores.
Good luck with your room and thanks for the add!|||Romantic French would be very attractive.|||http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/im...
